Elliott should have made an album with Paul McCartney. It would had been possible the best album ever made. Imagine the creativity and genius of those two combined together into an album. FUCKK

Elliott Smith is easily one of the single greatest singers/songwriters of the last 50 years. It's a shame he left this world so early on, but he music will at least live on always.

This man and his music mean absolutely everything to me. I never knew beauty and power until I discovered the writings of Elliott Smith. Emotionally, he's the only thing that's ever lifted me and pushed me down at the same time. Physically, I have a whole sleeve of the Figure 8 stripes down my left arm and halfway across my chest. Why?
How can one communicate with the masses so well, even after one has passed? Very few in history have achieved such a feat, even if they hardly knew it...
