Following a lecture at a leading US seminary, the great theologian Dr Karl Barth was asked by a student: "Of all the theological insights you have ever had, which do you consider to be the greatest of them all?"

Expecting a profound theological answer, the class waited breathlessly for his reply. He closed his eyes, bowed his head in thought, then slowly lifted his eyes, and replied:

"Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so"
