  • This historian never mentioned that the Japanese emperor was worshiped as a deity, according the shintoism, which is not permitted behavior for Christians who see God as One and obey the 1rst commandment which is not to have any other gods before (or in addition to) Yaweh.

  • Now a days the Japanese view Christianity like as curiosity--like the freak show that it is.

  • the japanese twists the christian god to their own way of thinking.

  • They also feared colonialism, and the threat of western governments. The 17th and 18th centuries were when colonialism was just starting to get big.
