WANDA COLÓN
Okay, Angela. Thank you so much for helping us.

ANGELA
You're welcome.

WANDA COLÓN
So what we're going to do is, I got this coffee table and I really liked it, but it's a little plain and they, I like their style. It's a little more fancy. So what we're doing is we're going to create an inlay with this grate.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
But what we're going to do is just use...

WANDA COLÓN
...it as a stencil.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
So we're just going to put it on top of here and then the color is this warm silver.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
Isn't that pretty?

ANGELA
That's awesome.

WANDA COLÓN
Yeah, it'll look great with the green.

ANGELA
I agree.

WANDA COLÓN /
What we got to do first is create a border...

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
...for the inlay. This is tape that's an inch and a half thick. So just do a border all the way across.

ANGELA
Easy enough.

WANDA COLÓN
It is easy enough. So I'm going to let you do that.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
While I get the paints ready. I want to save as many steps as possible, so I'm using an oil-based paint.

WANDA COLÓN
And that way we don't have to prime.

ANGELA
Right.

WANDA COLÓN
So it's really nice.

WANDA COLÓN
Okay, that's done. Now we just need to put the grate up here. And I'm going to tape the grate down. So it just needs to cover all of the wooden area.

ANGELA
Okay. That looks good.

WANDA COLÓN
All right. Cool. So put a little piece of tape on your side. But don't cover any of the stencil part. Okay?
WANDA COLÓN
Okay, Angela. The next step is super easy. Here's your plate with paint on it. I always like to use paper plates, because then when you're done, you just throw it away.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
It's easy to clean up. And then I'm also going to give you a paper towel. Because it's oil-based paint, it takes a little bit longer to dry.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN /
So I don't want to put a ton of paint on the surface.

ANGELA
So I'm just dabbing?

WANDA COLÓN /
You're going to take your paint. You're going to dip it in. Your brush in the paint.

ANGELA
Okay.

WANDA COLÓN
Then you're going to wipe off the excess...

ANGELA
All right.

WANDA COLÓN
...on your paper towel.

ANGELA
That's easy.

WANDA COLÓN
And then we're just going to pounce it on.

ANGELA
She's going to love this.
