Featuring Tony Hart, Margot Wilson and Alison Millar.

Part 1: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JILMEXAdpC0
Part 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=naTCj3J3GAM

Tony shows some children how to make interesting abstract pictures by dripping ink onto wet paper.

Alison uses some pastry, paint, glue and glitter to make some Christmas decorations - a star and some holly leaves and berries.

Margot makes a kaleidoscope, using a plastic tube (which used to contain tennis balls), black card, tracing paper, mirror card, tissue, and tiny squares of coloured paper.

Tony empties a box of old rubbish onto some newspaper on his desk, and then sprays watery paint over it. When he removes the rubbish, an interesting pattern is left on the newspaper.

Finally, Tony, Margot and Alison do the same thing on a much larger scale on the studio floor, using bigger pieces of rubbish.

(Please note that, for copyright reasons, I have removed the Morph animation from this episode.)

  • What did Morph do in this episode..?;)

  • Morph and Chas are artists. Morph paints a very basic picture of a flower, and is very pleased with it. Chas is about to start his own painting, when his easel collapses, and his paints splatter all over his canvas. Morph finds this very amusing, until he notices that Chas has experienced serendipity - the splattered paints have created the Mona Lisa on his canvas! Morph then realises that his own painting is very amateur, and he destroys it by whacking it over his head, ripping a hole in it.

  • (This is what Tony is referring to when he says "Oh poor old Morph! My gosh, how often I've longed to do that! PRNNNN!")
