Video and pictures from the Isle Of Wight steam railway. The railway runs around 5 miles from its base in Havenstreet, to one end Wootton, to the mainline junction of Smallbrook.
The railway holds a big collection of victorian rollingstock, and some original Island locos like W24 Calbourne and W8 Freshwater.
The railway also has a number of Austerity class locos,, Royal Engineer, and Waggoner, and also recently arrived Juno.

  • @BigItalianTony I see i work there too only during the summer occasionally, and will be there over the bank holiday.

  • @bluebellModelrailway yeah I work there i just know that footplate crew normally run with lamps even tho the island always ran with discs, its something that crew like to do to wind me and my mate up.

  • @BigItalianTony Thanks for the comment, depending on what service they are using, they will either run discs, lamps or roster numbers...

  • Best footplate crew in the world there in my pinion(well certainly at that railway) I dont know why they are running with discs its very unlike them. But the engine till has its characteristic leaking glands

  • Thanks, Im a member down there an occasionally work down there, more inerested in getting their flagship loco running.

    Thanks for the comment.
