I grew up immersed in classical music performance, & the concert hall is my home. The ritualistic grandeur often associated with classical music gave me a group to belong to when I didn't fit anywhere else. There's a sort of thrill of exclusivity that comes from glaring at the person who claps in between movements... but it wasn't until Mr. Rhodes that I realized how awful that is. I never thought about how it drove others away from the music.Thanks for getting me off my high horse, Mr. Rhodes!
