@Dookiedolf My point is they were tried in military court and imprisoned as civilians. UK wishes the best of both… to try them quickly and with less evidence, and then imprison them like animals. Try them as soldiers and treat them as such (Geneva Convention) or try them as civilians and treat them as such. One or the other, not the best of both.

@justme7077 Irish Republican ARMY. Armies deal with armies. A civilian trial with IRA & NI sympathisers for the jury. A jury who can be manipulated by threats on their family. A jury who listens to evidence from witnesses British army & secret informants, some of whom lives will now be at risk.

Imprisoned as a civilian in purpose built H blocks . UK military doesnt have many prisons. Imagine mixing IRA prisoners with British army criminals & guards.
