This is how you can see Jupiter and the moon through my telescope.

Completely new in design, this video showing you Jupiter and the moon. Both filmed on 20 August 2011 early in the morning. On Jupiter you can see an eclipse. It's caused by the shadow of Io, one of the Galilean Moons. You can also clearly see Jupiter's poles and the cloud belts. If you want to have a look at all the date, you'll have to pause the video I'm afraid : p
Next up is the moon. Not much description needed I think.

  • Your mirror is not parabolic but rather spherical, right?

  • @denispkpk No, it's parabolic. It can't be spherical because then the focal lenght would be impossibly short.

  • @JustWickedSwede Yeah, there are indeed some good telescopes out there for quite a good price.

  • @krisDM3000 I'd say it's much cheaper than I expected. I ordered a telescope last week, and I was suprised over how good telescopes you can get for low money.

  • a masterclass in astro-imaging!

  • @joikbenik Thank you ; )
