As a baseball player, I would recommend that you leave the bottom wheels spinning faster. Here's why: when the top and bottom wheels spin at the same rate, the ball loses its backward rotation. Without the rotation, the ball becomes unpredictable (the classic knuckle ball). It is otherwise pretty nifty!
