I read that the observer doesn't have an affect on reality at the macroscopic scale. Is that correct? If I was to leave a video camera filming my living room without me present and I was to play it back, I would still see my living room.

@itsonelouder1 - good question. I would say that if you look at a video of your living room you are not actually seeing your living room, you are seeing a two dimensional moving picture of your living room. - It is the limitations of our consciousness that makes the double slit experiment results seem so weird.
