@Compantino I love all the Hungarian folktales I've seen/read/heard! Too bad they're so hard to find in the US....!

hello, i found the english version. do you know if some of the other hungarian fairy tales have an english version?

There were about 6 of them that were done in English back in the early ninties for a show called "Long Ago & Far Away" hosted by James Earl Jones. (Best kids show ever.) If I could figure out how to get them off my VHS tape to my computer, I'd totally upload them. That said, someone uploaded the English version of a Russian folktale along the same vein but I don't recall the title... (It was from LA&FA, too...) Other than that, I haven't seen any in English. Sorry. ^^;

There's an English version of the tale in the related videos section. It's a direct translation from this version. (The video is "Long Ago & Far Away - Janko Raven")
