I don't find it that funny.
Admittedly FSMDude will seem like a bit of a cynical dick to some people, but he's trying to be as straightforward and serious as he can be, which is hard when you're trying to explain to people why a cracker won't save your soul and why people who think God cures their diseases are idiots.
At least he's trying.

I must admit I find such stories amusing like the Darwin Awards. However I do see these people as the victims of charlatans. They may be somewhat to blame because of their credulity, but the greater blame rests with the charlatans. Blame also rests with politicians who allow witchdoctors to call themselves 'doctors' of naturopathy (or other quackery.)
What really upsets me though is when parents impose their stupid views on their kids (by refusing vaccinations.)

When people are victims of charlatan, there is 2 outcome: #1 You explain to them why it doesn't work, why it's dangerous, show them studies, etc... and they realise they were wrong and stop taking bullshit like homeopathy. #2: They say that even if studies have shown that alternative medecine doesn't work and that the facts are agains't them, and that they understand that, and they'll still take it= if they die, fuck them and laugh
