well if u cocked the gun or loaded a bullet in the chamber and take out the mag then theres one bullet in the chamber u can shoot

To answe your question, When the slide is back and the magazine is inserted into the gun and the slide is realeased, it loads the round off the top into the guns, then as you fire the gun the slide goes back and ejects the spent cartridge and loads the next one off the top. So if the magazine isnt empty when u take it out the ammo is in the mag and there is a round in the chamber, if you emptied the magazine and the slide is back there is no more ammo in either.

Call it a clip alot out of bad habbit. thats what I ment to say. My bad.

Alot of people are touchy about the clip/magazine thing. Personally I dont care and I call it a magazine to alot out of bad habbit.
Ill clear that up for you so you dont get slammed or anything though. I clip holds rounds together, kinda like the stripper clip for an SKS rifle. A magazine however is generally a spring operated box that contains the rounds internally. Now they make items where you can load magazines with a clip though.

Hey, is it true that the .44 Desert Eagle rips chunks out of the base headstamp of the brass every time it ejects them? Then, wouldn't the brass be unsuitable for reloading?
-
ill call it a clip if i want to you lifeless piece of shit.
and thanks i guess ill remember it as magazine

hey, when you put ammo into a gun, when you take the clip out does the ammo that you put in earlier still inside the gun or is it back in the clip?
