The Monroes meet their new neighbors who claim they are nesting on their land. The Monroes are ordered off. When they refuse, the sons make up some false accusations against them and against one of Maypoy's men, which leads to a hanging. The major must step in before it's too late.
This episode is also titled "Incident at Hanging Tree." The Internet Movie Database actually lists this title as the official title, so I'm not sure which is the most correct...
