@Lyncan0Thrope Those people you are talking about are not Christian, if they are just avoiding hell. And yes, those holidays are pagan but again, they are NOT Christian, you are comparing yourself to the wrong people to make yourself look or feel better. It is very confusing because the deeper you go the more questions arise but you have to ask the right questions or else you will never get the right answers.

Ha, I just returned from Salem, but I didn't see this circus in session. From earlier video clips, I usually note a small mob in front of Mr. Marcavage insulting him & occasionally threatening him. He's obviously a First Amendment right to be in Salem speaking, but at what point does his usual spiel become "fighting words," if the crowd reacts so violently to what he's saying so predictably?

I seriously doubt you could defend atheism as a philosophical system any more articulately than this fundamentalist could express his belief in Christianity coherently or the average Wiccan could defend their belief in ritual magic.
