The seventh series of Robot Wars was the final series to be broadcast, and unlike the others, it was shown on Channel Five. Past grand finallists Tornado and Firestorm faced domestic and international competiton in the fight for the seventh Robot Wars UK series crown, and a place alongside past champions Roadblock, Panic Attack, Chaos 2 and Razer. Aside from featuring 128 robots, the largest number of competitors since the third wars, a new house robot- Cassius Chrome was introduced. Series 7 also saw the return of Special Events, not seen since the fourth wars. Let the wars begin!
Robots competing in Heat G: Terror Turtle, Cygnus X-1, S.M.I.D.S.Y., Atomic, Araknia, Hellbent, Mean Streak, I Bot One Beta
Special Event- World Championship Qualifier: Crushtacean, Topbot
I favoured Atomic 60 to 40 to win this heat final and they did. Another seed goes out.

Atomic always had this potential, just had horrible luck with the draws i the past.

Atomic in series 4 were terrible to be honest... Too big and the flipper did nothing. Series 5 was a lot better but got unlucky to come up against Hypno-disc and the flipper wasn't really going to defend them against such a powerful disc. However taking series 6 off to work on the robot definitely worked for them! They were awesome this series!

lol JP gets it wrong again - "they were beaten in the heat final in the 3rd wars, they were beaten by hypno disc in the 4th wars".. atomic lost to chaos 2 in the heat final of series 4, and got demolished by hypno disc in series 5 :P
