Dan Friedrich

Dan is a born storyteller. There's the story about the time he was driving a pickup truck with a bed filled with logs, swerved to avoid an oncoming car, went off the road and rolled. Many times. He was knocked unconscious. He says the only thing he remembers were the trees hitting the truck as it tumbled. His left arm was severed. Days went by before he was found by hunters. Dan says it was a blessing. It could have been a lot worse.

Another story Dan tells is how he got his job with Goodwill as a donations attendant in Jackson. I was missing an arm. No one wanted to hire me. After two years of job rejections, Dan went into Career Solutions in Jackson, filled out an application and, Doggone if they didn't hire me the next day.

Dan's favorite story is how he met his fiancé, Ava. She came by his work site with a donation. Ava says she was instantly attracted to Dan. I felt something the day I met him. It was mutual.

With Ava Ive found love and happiness. And Dan says, a perfect match, since Ava was born without a right arm. She has the sweetest heart in the world and does everything she can to help others. Dan's imposing stature and strong voice belie the fact he is a teddy bear with a big heart. Ava says, Hes unstoppable!
