Continuation of posture number 3, to postures 4, 5, and 6.
Baguazhang Circle Walking Practice - The foundation of this martial art. It combines stance training with qigong, strength and conditioning the legs, and strength and conditioning the torso and upper body and arms, while in constant motion. It also trains footwork. The upper body static postures are from my teacher's Baguazhang, these next postures are: 3) Dragon; 4) Horse; 5) Monkey; 6) Ox. The stepping method is Tang Ni Bu (muddy step) and turning steps are Ko Bu and Bai Bu (toe-in step and toe-out step aka hook step and swing step) --- http://www.jiangschool.com/jiang.htm --- http://www.jiangschool.com/jiangstyle.htm

Baguazhang is a great martial art, but takes time (years) and dedication to learn it correctly and master it, and know how to use it.

  • i do something wrong whats your opinion please

  • @manufacturedfracture Baguazhang (aka Ba Gua Zhang and Pa Kua Chang) is not a martial art that you can learn quickly, it is also not a martial art that you can learn correctly without a teacher, because there are many foundational things that you have to be taught, starting with stepping and walking, then correct body posture and alignment. It is even more difficult if you have no martial arts background. Teacher has to show you and fix your stepping/walking, posture/alignment, all foundation.

  • @manufacturedfracture Then, the teacher has to teach you how to walk correctly, with correct stepping, body posture and alignment - still foundational stuff. After learning the foundation, you learn static postures, then static postures while walking... There is a lot to learn and it takes years, so you should find yourself a teacher. check out the website pa kua chang journal dot com, it has a teachers directory on that website. Good luck.

  • @manufacturedfracture I forgot to mention that you will also have to learn from the teacher, the correct way to breathe, and later coordinating your breathing with your movement... You need a teacher if you want to learn this martial art. I will help if you do some research and read up on Ba Gua Zhang, I did before I started learning, and it helped me understand a lot of things quickly.

  • @Lctoliver thank you i have learned alot already and i just dove into this new world. i didn't do it just blind i've researched the history. i did learn fa jing recently and i attempt to further in learning. but right now a teacher must wait. however like clay before fire i can be molded. i know of three dan tian chambers and i have opened my chakras and want to learn control of chi flow more plus bagua in a more elaborate way. i will seek a teacher thank you.

  • @manufacturedfracture You are welcome.
