  • his mace is wayy to big for him and its bent... good stuff though.

  • @sodachris3000 Who or what are you? What are your qualifications? The reason I ask is that the guy in the video is the Warrant Officer 1 Corps Drum Major Royal Marines I'm certain that he knows the correct height for a staff (not a Mace). The cane is Mallaca cane and is very straight.

  • is the royal corps of drums not apart of the royal corps of music [army]???>?

  • It is the Royal Marines... not the Army

  • is he useing a mase

  • Some call it a Mace but in the Royal Marines it is called a Staff

  • @sodachris3000 the staff of a royal marines drum major is always very tall, look at other videos, when standing with the staff their arms are parallel to the ground, it looks rather impressive i think, best mace drill in the british millitary

  • @padjur Thanks for the info! Our services were unified back in the 70's and the rank structure changed. L/Cpl got the axe & all L/Cpl were promoted to Cpl. Staff or Colour Sgt. got changed to Warrant Officer ,the crown was moved from the upper arm and three stripes to just the crown on the lower sleeve. Warrant Officer 2nd class was changed to Master Warrant and Warrant Officer First Class was changed to Chief Warrant and in the 80's they gave Cpl a Pay raise by creating Master Cpl or M/Cpl

  • of course he knows what he's doing, not only is he warrant officer 1st class, he has the OBE and i think he would know if his staff was bent! wiggy joined up with my brother years ago

  • @richardhummell2497 The Royal Marines are part of the Naval service yes but they use a similar system to the Army as they were originally part of the Army, having said that since the 1980's the Royal Navy also has Warrant Officers the same as the Marines and Army. A Chief Petty Officer is equivalent to a Colour Sergeant which is below Warrant Officer rank.

  • @Bandservice Warrent Officer (Staff Sergeant) Standards NCO The Black Watch (RHR) of Canada. Never salutes without Head Dress. Something a Yank would do! (HaHa). Just a quick question - Marines being Navy wouldn't he be called a Chief Petty Officer?

  • @sodachris3000 maces are supposed to go to either top of shoulder or armpit, personal preference. it's fine.

  • @sodachris3000 probably bent because he's using a practice Staff for demonstrating

  • @sodachris3000

my bad.. but im telling you its bent.. Just thought you should know.
