"Nick, come on dude, just concentrate," Joe encouraged, giving me a little pep talk. We were in the recording studio , trying to record the new bonus track for our 'special edition' album. Trying being the key word. I couldn't sing at all today. I was totally off key, and I kept forgetting the lyrics, even though I know them backwards.

"Dude, just stop thinking about her," Kevin suggested, as I leaned my head back against the wall. They were crowding around me like vermin.

"I'm not thinking about her," I shot back. Everyone knew I was lying. She was coming out to LA tomorrow, and I was nervous about the interview.

"Nick, do you need a break?" Dad asked, walking over and standing between Joe and Kevin.

"I'm fine," I replied through my teeth.

"Come on, get it together," he said sharply.

I nodded, closing my eyes. Focus, Nick, focus. I opened my eyes nodding again, as I walked back over to the mike.

"I walked across a crowded street, a sea of eyes cut through me, and I saw you in the middle," I sang to the music, finally getting it right. I concentrated deeply on the lyrics for the rest of the song.

I made it through, eventually, with no mistakes. I was relieved when they informed me that we could finally leave. That was embarrassing. I don't know what was wrong with me.

Actually, I do. I haven't seen her in person for four days. I haven't seen her through the screen since Tuesday, and I haven't heard her beautiful voice since yesterday. I texted her this morning, but got no answer yet, and it was nearing 4:00 pm here, so it's like 8:00 there. Where is she?

I texted her again as we left the building to get into Joe's car. He insisted on driving again.

To Selena ;) : Hey baby, you okay? I miss you :(

I took my place in the back of the sportscar, beside Kevin today. He glanced over at me as I sighed. He didn't use words, but I could tell he cared about whatver was bothering me.

I'm losing it, I swear. She doesn't text me for one day, and I'm freaking out? I need to relax. She has a life outside of me. She has friends, stuff to do. I can't expect her to sit at home waiting for me. And I don't. Of course not. I'd just like a text maybe...

After dinner, Kevin and Joe insisted we go see a movie. They tried to guilt trip me when I mentioned Selena. Kevin said that I spend too much time with her, and it's not healthy. Joe said I need to get my mind off just that one girl. They honestly have no clue.

"Come on, Nick, admit it, that was fun," Joe said, tossing his empty soda cup in the bin outside the theatre. I tried to fight off a smile. I admit, watching two hours of non-stop action with my brothers was pretty enjoyable.

"Yeah, whatever," I smirked.

"See? You gotta have fun sometimes, Nicky."

"Don't call me that. And, I have a lot of fun. More than you know," I teased, as we crossed the street to Joe's car. Some blonde girl was standing beside it.

She wanted a picture, of course. We soon got her out of the way, and got in the car.

"Do enlighten us, Nicholas," Joe said, putting on a thick English accent as he started the car.

I shook my head smirking and looking down.

"We could always tell Mom and Dad that our baby brother banged some chick," Joe said, glancing at Kevin. I rolled my eyes.

"You wouldn't," I said, confident.
