Dave said in an interview that the reason he had that truck is that it is what he and his then-wife drove from Indianapolis to Los Angeles in 1975, with all of their possessions in the back. It had sentimental value.

I remember this show as if it was yesterday, it was hilarious and so whas the next show dave was on the show and dave sued Johnny Carson for $24.95 in front of Judge wapner for the headlight that was broken when Carson stole the truck.
