The most important skills are: Generous was Tsungai, Vangeful was Khanhei, Spirit Rift, Ancestors' Rage and Light of Deldrimor. The rest basically depend on the main profession.
I chose "I am unstoppable" because it helps me in some situations, since the mobs apply cripple on you. Although its sometimes best to catch the second group while crippled because u wont loose aggro on the first one.
Then I chose Dwarven Stability & Storm Chaser for more speed and energy management.
The video shows the my route, which i find the best.
Dont worry if you fail a few times. This is really easy farm and its safier than Nahpui Quater farm for ranger. Thats why i usually farm feathers here.
Basically from this farm u can get items like this:
- Feathers (duuuh)
- Dyes (sometimes Black ^^)
- Feathered Crests (for more feathers)
- Runes / Insignias (from dropped blue or higher armor)
- Lots of items for salvage (but i dont recommend this; items give onle a few materials and its just better to leave them)
As I wrote in the video, I usually take 1-2 groups at once, because i find this the fastest and safest way. There's a big chance of fail when you pull the third one and also u won't have enough time to position them so you can hit all in one combo. And also its very possible that you will loose aggro on one group while pulling another one.
There are 2 groups in the whole map that are really dependable on luck because in most situations they are pulled by bosses. The first one stay on frozen lake just near the beginning of run, and the second one near the ele boss a bit later. Dont attack them if they fight with boss, because you need all them to be focused on you to farm successfully :)
Also everyone can notice that all groups contain mele mobs and casters, but unlike any other casters theese eventually come to fight as mele (wtf). Yeah, just wait a bit and you will see. I usually wait as long as they let me (because i dont want to die - lol). Although its not always possible :)
This build works after all GW updates. This is the fastest build for ranger, but if you dont have EoTN you can use other skills instead of theese i used, but it might make your run longer, because some of mobs will remain alive after the burst (with about 20 hp but its not that easy to finnish them with weapon since u have weakness all the time).
Feather Farm is and always will be profitable. All end-game players need Consets for their adventures in FoW, UW, DoA and dungeons. So the money you earn on feathers will remain the same till the end of GW :)
It's all about experience, rerun this few times and you will understand the basics, rerun a few times more and you will find your own way of killing theese poor birds :)
Is this also possible in HM ?

@IwontSay Nope, not really. In HM all mobs have different and more powerful spells. I tried HM and it would be really hard to counter all hexes and degen, especially when you are a ranger. Probably some sf sin would handle it.
