  • @a7xmuseacdc Now the AxeFX has MORE high gain models to choose from and it's definitely more flexible, but ultimately I don't believe there's any tone I can't get out of the 11R that you can get with the AxeFX. Effects wise, the AxeFX is stunning, but you sound like me and don't or wouldn't even use 2/3rds of what the AxeFX can do. With the Expansion Pack which is an additional $98 it really closes the gap between the tonal options of the AxeFX -vs- the 11R. I don't feel like I am missing out

  • @vaisatchatrucci so you say that tone wise the axe and the 11R are very very similar? even in high gain models? cause i'm looking for a very versatile unit, to play from super high gain to super clean sounds, and how about the quality of the effects? i really don't care if it has a thousand delays and stuff like that, just, u know the classics, phaser chorus flanger some distortions... i really really would appreciate your opinion! cheers.

  • @vaisatchatrucci well i tried both and in my opion the sansamp sounds okay in front of a amp but direct recording sound horrible und the flexibility of the sansamp psa1 is zero ...

  • @FOXC810 No problem! :) On the sans amp thing no I haven't ever tried one - sorry! I've heard they sound decent though, but never run across one.

  • @vaisatchatrucci

    Thx for your reply,

    just a quick ?.

have you ever used the tech 21 psa1 sansamp and if so do you think the 11r is better. disregarding that it has no efx.

    cheers

  • @FOXC810 I actually played through an AxeFX the other day and yes the FX kill on the Axe vs the Eleven Rack but the modeling is not any better than the Eleven Rack but its worth the price if you NEED all those FX and the Eleven Rack even has more FX than Id ever use at one time so it just depends on your style really but if core modeling is your priority theyre both the same tone wise though the Axe is more flexible but to me to a fault. Don't need it to get great tones on the Axe its overkill.

  • really nice playing & tone.

thinkin bout gettin an Axe-Fx for a while but the price is a bit much, then i read about the 11R a couple of days ago.

are you happy with it and did you consider the Axe-Fx.

read a few reviews that said the 11R amp simulation is great but the effects are not as good as the Axe-Fx.

also what footswitch are you using to switch sounds.

would appreciate your views and anyone else that has played either the Axe-Fx or 11R..

again nice playing, tone and choice of notes.

  • @TheGuitarSuite Thanks a lot! Glad you dug it! :)

  • Very nice tone and playing.

  • @r0kas Lovely comment :) thank you I appreciate that!
