1930s EES Amarna Film PREVIEW

The film in this video was shot in the early 1930s by members of the Egypt Exploration Society expedition to Tell el Amarna in Middle Egypt, site of the 'city of Akhenaten'. The footage is now kept in the Society's Lucy Gura Archive.

This preliminary edit serves as a preview for a small series of short films based on the footage which will be uploaded to the Society's YouTube channel in the second half of 2010.

The recordings are also the subject of an article which will appear in the Fall issue of KMT magazine (http://www.kmtjournal.com/).
