Hi, I am Adele Lindsey, recently retired Muscogee County principal running for the at-large position on the school board. I have thirty-two years experience as an educator in the school district. I am a native of Columbus and have loved being a part of this community. I am a graduate of Columbus High School, received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Columbus College, now Columbus State University, my Master's in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Specialist's in Educational Leadership from Troy University. I have taught at Dimon Elementary, Edwina Wood Elementary (now closed), and River Road Elementary. I was an assistant principal at Clubview Elementary and Johnson Elementary and principal at St. Elmo. For the past fifteen years, I have served as principal of Clubview Elementary.
I am very fortunate to have a supportive family. My husband, Larry Lindsey, is retired and enjoying his days on the golf course. My daughter, Elissa, is married to Joey Maddox and they have three children, Berkley, Tyler, and Madison. I am a very proud grandmother, who had the privilege to serve as their principal. Elissa is a teacher in the school district and Joey works for Old Dominion Freight Lines. My son, Jed Hassell, married Amanda Zerzan last September and they are living in Columbus. Jed is a software engineer with Delta Data Software and Amanda is a registered nurse working with Pediatria Health Care for Kids.
I ask for your vote so I can continue to serve this community and represent you on the board of education.
