When was this recorded? It's splendid. I was lucky enough to see Nesteryenko sing Boris at the Bolshoi in 1987, the same day I had seen the historical Boris' tomb in Zagorsk. It was one of the great days of my life. This is a marvellous record of a great singer.

Habe mit seiner Tochter (Pianistin) next week eine Mugge. Hammer Bass! Nur Ghiaurov und Salminen vielleicht ebenbürtig. Fjodor ist ja schon eine weile tot........ Und eine tolles Lied dazu, dieser Boris Gorbatschow.
