Plot:

Remember that the Prometheus the most advanced ship constructed at that time, it was carrying the worlds richest man. It had to be top of the line.

The ships from the Original two films were commercial and military. They had to be constructed cheaper and were expected to ware longer over a long service period.

But as was later found out - it wasn't a distress call - it was a warning to stay away.

You hit the nail on the head!

You can hear the Engineer repeating the same slow warning message - and then you can hear a Xenomorph screaming, and then it ends!

I think Ridley definitely modeled the Engineer' speech after the vocal sounds in the warning message that the Nostromo recovered.

Third: Space Jockey wanted to say Alien (in there language two times)

I get what you mean, I really do. But that movie was made i n 1979 and the god honest truth is that the ships in aliens probably wouldn't look like that because technology has progressed beyond a point where things need to be so crudely put together. In addition to that we now have the tech to portray more futuristic things on film. Your stuck on Nostalgia and its only going to hinder your own enjoyment.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. When you look at cars owned by very wealthy people of the time, while older had a lot of features you would see in modern cars that weren't available to most people. Things like power windows, and heated seats for example. While most cars for regular people were mass produced and cheaper
