@idddq If that is what is considered elitist to you then you really are ignorant. To most people transwomen are women and that exactly how I live my life too. No one uses male pronouns with me and I'm about to join a women's volleyball team. She is in no way a guy. If you didn't know of her past would you even call her a man?!
