This is our UFC 100 prediction for the Georges St.Pierre/Thiago Alves Welterweight Title fight.

Prediction - Thiago Alves has shown he has no problem beating legends such as GSP after the Matt Hughes fight. However GSP has put a stop to many rising stars such as Jon Fitch. In this fight I think that GSP will manage to rock Alves early but will respect his punching power too much and won't take advantage. Alves will get the knockout win (second round).

  • exactly GSP is the greatest in the welterweight division by far.....understood anything can happen in MMA but its unlikely that his belt will get taken anytime soon. I would love to see him go up to middle weight and beat Silva's ass and hold 2 belts =)

  • THE GUY WHO WAS PLAYIN GSP IS A NOOB !!!!

  • @2skate2live2skate is there a match between those guys

  • Haha, i made this name when i used to skate, i don't anymore..And i watch and follow the UFC more than anything else in the world, you're probably pissed because you tried to skate once, and hurt your vagina, so now you hate all skaters.

  • hos do you do the axe kick as gsp?

  • or he could beat him like some asian guy beat anderson in pride with a flying scissor heel hook

  • GSP is well rounded and uses what he has an advantage at... i mean if a High School Wrestler got in a fight with Mike Tyson im sure he would take it to the ground as fast as he could. Tiago has more punching power so GSP Used his advantages

  • Damn looks like whoever posted this is WAYYYYY off GSP dominated alves. 10 takedowns!?!? And Alves face looked like Mince Meat hahaha

  • Also, out of 6 bouts after Serra, he only went to decision 3 times. The 6 bouts before the lost, he went to decision twice. He subbed/TKO'd the rest of the bouts. SO, he's finishing guys at about a 60% rate. Doesn't sound bad to me.

  • It's not as exciting but on the technical side it is. Same could be said for Machida. Running around all the time, picking his shots. It's smart period. Brock is huge and uses his strength to overcome guys. I dont think he has skills, but he's using what he has. Cant hate on him for that. If the opponent cant win then there just not at that level. You saw Thiago's face, he was hit a lot. On top of that, all that damage was done b4 the groin injury. I'm 100% not a bias fan. I tell it how it is.
