Here is another clip of a guitar we are building for someone. It is a Lion model made entirely from Korina - a 2 piece Korina back with a separate 2 piece Korina arch top. Pickups are BKP VH2 which do Van Halen tones to a tee and sound great for so many other things too
The previous video was pre-paint - here it is back and looking oh so pretty - finished in a transparent purple
We are just giving it a final testing and I thought I would record the results.
It is also kitted out with a Graphtech "Ghost" piezo bridge and preamp - allowing acoustic guitar tones (or a mix of electric and acoustic tones)
In the previous video I was surprised at how well the Randall Recto module worked - seemed to lend something complimentary to the tone of a korina guitar that just works well. Here we used the Egnater Erect module which pretty much does the same job
Guitar is going via Egnater M4 into an MJW power amp and through a Rivera 2x12" cab loaded with Celestion Sidewinders. Mic was an SM57 plugged into my video cam
Couldn't help myself throwing in an old UFO number - been listening to Michael Schenker a lot recently
@uterallindenbaum The guitar is being played via an Egnater preamp through an MJW power amp that was custom built for me , and can still be found in MJW (formerly Martamp)'s gallery page on their website. So - nothing fake there at all!
