OO Soul at LBFunkFest.com

Check out OOsoul.com The first time I saw this band was at the Foothill in Signal Hill. Here they are, years later at LBFunkFest (that is organizer Bobby Easton on percussion).

This was the first band AND first song played on the North Stage. I scanned the band thinking the sound wouldn't come out too well (but you can take stills from video on an HD Flip!), then started fooling around.

Got permission from 3 members to record but if majority rules this sounds or looks bad, I'll take it down!

Recorded in HD on August 29, 2009 using a Flip Video camcorder.

Note: I ran into some hard core Pfunk fans and they said THIS was the best Funk Festival EVER and that LA's didn't compare and probably never would.

Congrats to Bobby, the bands, sponsors and the behind-the-scenes crew that made this happen. Hopefully it will become an annual event...

Did Bobby play with Madrill? I was just highlighting the bands I have played on TPSradio in the past.

I DID get a snapshot of the Madrill CD's at the merch tables but they didn't really fit into the montage because I didn't record them.

I saw professional videographers recording - I'm sure they will show up somewhere - maybe in a documentary about Funk?!

@ThePrimeSpotcom Yes, I saw all of those same videographers and the last thing I wanna do is show them up AND duplicate efforts. I was basically there as a fan of the event as a whole and to support R. Scott.

thanks for the info. im just a huge fan of mandrill. im from the bay and i was goin to take a bus or backpack but my plans got fucked so i had to result to youtube for lb funk fest vids. thanks for postin your vid(s).
