Nice finial and nice turning. However, I have to say that there is no finer tool than a correctly shaped spindle gouge for this purpose - which, of course, along with the skew, has been used with great effect for centuries. I appreciate that your tools look easy to use, though and that has to be good from a beginner's point of view.
