@ZygoInferior , sorry but I have not used blender in quite a while , you may want to watch that you have not got any accidental keyframes , or you may need to look at the IPO interpolation type
-
hahaha , you've solved my problem , thanks man.
wow im so relieved right now , that was driving me crazy.
i thought i could get away with not naming any bones :P
-
ah , my mouse does have this side function , ill go check this out and see if that was the problem
-
i thought the side view may be causing it to look unflipped as well , but then i viewed it from other angles and found it in fact didn't flip. i really don't know why its not working . ill just keep playing around with it , and hopefully find a way to animate it.
your tutorials have helped me so much , thanks man

@Ritaliation , if you are checking the pose prior to setting a key frame by moving your perspective with the middle mouse button there is a possibility you may be inadvertently keying to the next frame . many scroll wheel's also have a side press function that will do the same as an arrow key , changing the frame accidentally prior to setting the key frame will revert it back to the original position locked in the first key frame the first key is locked in to all frames till a second is locked.
-
@Ritaliation , well that leaves me with only a couple of thoughts , first of all is that the bones you have rotated / moved are selected to 1-set the location rotation frame ,2- to copy the pose , and 3- paste that pose flipped.
the other thought is are you sure it is not flipping the pose ? there is very little visual clue to that when viewing from a side perspective.
there is a possible cause that could result from checking that the pose did flip.
see next reply. I'm out of letters ;-)
how did you get the floor to collide with the foot???
TheTezza48 9 months ago
@TheTezza48 there is no collision between the foot and floor used here

@Ritaliation ,one more thought here , it actually relates to an earlier vid , in part 10 we mirror the rigging for the right hand side , did you flip the left right names after mirroring the rig ?
if not the right side of the body would have names such as upper leg L 001 instead of upper leg R , I have read that naming convention is important to the paste flipped pose function , blender cant flip the pose from left to right if it does not have the naming convention to facilitate the function.
