How to Jailbreak Your iPhone/iPod Touch on FW 3.1.2 (Part 2)

Hello all,

This is part two of my jailbreak videos. I only made one part 2 vid for both devices since the process of flashing your Custom IPSW is the same for both. In this vid, I will show you how to put your device in DFU Mode and restore the custom IPSW. You might need to download the following:

That program will help you bypass the restore errors in iTunes if you ever come across them. Also, please make sure you close iTunes before running the program. Enjoy!

hey, what i want to know is how am i able to access all my files on my iphone through the computer. thanks in advance.

After jailbreaking, go to Cydia and install OpenSSH. Then on your computer, Install WinSCP (Windows) or Cyberduck (Mac). You will need to turn on Wi-Fi. Get your device's IP Address from Settings>Wi-Fi>Blue Arrow next to connected access point. That will be your host name. The username will be root and the password will be alpine. Connecting the first time takes a while. Enjoy accessing your files.
