  • I was called Yesterday about NMAR in Kalispell Montana and last week, from consumer lied to by a top realtor about having lake access, turned out it was revoked 10 years ago, the Local MLS office turned them away, the State (MAR) was of no help what so ever, the consumer is left to fight for what they thought they were buying.

  • I am licensed in MT, ID and Oregon and have been around transaction in California, Hawaii, Florida, Maryland.. and a few others. What I say may be rural area, however, it is still happening today and bad, consumers call me daily and tell me how bad a local association is treating the, I myself have fought frauulant activities for years and nothing happens. NAR is not ins support of accountability, E and O insurance is just plain ol' wrong, i have seen this insurance make it easier to lie..

  • I am a Realtor, and I don't know what State you operate in, but locally, our Assocaiation has taken on, reprimanded, and fined several high Profile Brokers and Realtors accused of wrong doing.

They take very seriously ethics vioations, especially when it directly involves members of the public.

I do agree with you, that more needs to be done. This is a very "cut throat" , "knife in the back" industry.

I thought corporate America was bad until I got into Real Estate.
