What you'll see here is the 1st Mission of this movie-licensed game for the SNES, for the 2nd Mission, check my video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr74beEqKOY By the way, this is my first walkthrough. Each Mission gets its own video and is the exact continuation of where I left off, keeping all the lives I collected (but I'm not aiming for the perfect walkthrough, meaning that I'm not necessarily collecting all the stars, but I try as much as possible). Since I don't want to spend the rest of my life playing this game perfectly and I don't want to post videos where I die since it would be pointless for you to watch, I use an emulator to make a save state at the end of each completed Mission, but not during the Missions themselves, meaning that the Mission in each video is the result of my best play with no use of save states or cheats of any kind during its course. I will always use this kind of formula for my walkthroughs, since it's easier for me and probably more entertaining for you. Some of you might have played this on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive or even on Windows which is a port of the console game but with a CD-quality soundtrack. It features the same kind of 3D-rendered graphics as the Donkey Kong Country series and it works well given that the movie was also 3D-rendered. It really is a great game amongst the movie licensed video games even though it was designed for children. I can't say that a video showing only the first mission gives justice to the game since the gameplay varies from one mission to the other and while it's not the best game ever, it's good and you should give it a try if you haven't done so already. Don't forget, if you have requests like for another video game walkthrough or something, just ask here or on my channel or even by sending me a message and if I can make it, there are good chances that I will.

No, I own both the Genesis and SNES versions of the game. :)

The SNES version is of lower resolution and more "stretched". However the SNES version has less color banding and more "realistic" graphics due to it being able to handle more colors on screen at one time (SNES = up to 256 colors on screen at one time. Genesis = up to 64 colors on screen at one time.)

Characters move more smoothly on Genesis version and the Genesis version is a bit harder than the SNES version.

  • @mmffl123456 they are full motion video sprites (like sega cd videos), so not pre-rendered sprites...

    (or i am wrong...)

  • Listen, about the seizure thing, Woody's not having one, he's just dancing because he completed the level. So, don't listen to that.

  • That Old Army Game

Open the bucket of soldiers and then locate the baby monitor and pass it down to the Sergeant's troops. The toys will then meet you at the other baby monitor. Good luck and watch out for the trains and planes!!

  • "OK. Sergeant, this is a code red! We need a recon post downstairs. Now how can I help?"

"Sir! Remove the lid on the bucket of soldiers so my men can get out. Then find the baby monitor on the shelf and knock it down to my men below."

  • "OK, everyone...today is Andy's birthday and we need to find out what presents he is going to be given." "Andy's birthday is today? Quick! Send the Sergeant downstairs with his team of green army men to see if Andy has any new toys!"

  • Uuuuuum... WOOW!!! Seriously, those pre-rendered sprites look SOO GREAT!!!

  • They better have this for the Wii soon. And Beethoven's 2nd for the SNES also on the Wii Shop Channel. Those 2 are my favourite games, and they deserve to be for sale there. Not that Milon's Secret Castle bullcrap. Or even those sports games. I want Toy Story, Beethoven's 2nd, and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues all on the Wii Shop Channel. That's what I ask for. Do you agree with me, DarkEvil87?

  • @DarkEvil87 thank you

    hugs

  • I remember this when I was only five.. Good times...;)

  • I used to play this game all the time
