Bob Stull, head football coach at Missouri from 1989 to 1994, explains what he was thinking as the clock ticked off the final seconds of the 1990 Missouri vs. Colorado game. Because he did not listen to his assistant coaches and challenge the officials count of the downs, CU was allowed to score the game-winning TD on the last play of the game with the benefit of a 5th down.
This loss changed the Mizzou program for a long time. if Mizzou had won that game, Bob Stull would stiil be the coach and Mizzou would have gone on to have a good season.

Hey Since Colorado is leaving to the PAC 10, the Big twelve should overturn this travesty and give the win to the team that actually won, Mizzou.

So his whole staff told him otherwise but he didn't listen?! Idiot.

It;s sad that this game happened. Mizzout football was never the same after this.

He flat out DID NOT score even on the 5th down and anyone can Youtube the 5th down play to see him down before reaching the ball over.
This win goes down in history equal to the USSR basketball travesty in 1972,
USSR & Colorado...undeserving and unearned on the field of play forever and ever.

Charles Johnson barely scored folks. The Mizzou coaches were not sure what down it was at any point. Coach Mac knew of the error after 2nd down, and called the next three plays accordingly.

Vinal, I was there and you are absolutely right. I was literally on the field at the goal line and he DID NOT get in.
