it's just not mainstream anymore, i've heard plenty of good local bands.. and i live in ohio.. there's nothing in ohio, but there are plenty of decent punk bands.

then you hang out with the wrong kids.. all of my friends are punk rockers because punk isnt a sterio type it is a way of life and anyone can be a punk rocker... it is some one out of anger picking up a guitar or any instrument and just flowing with it and letting loose of all emotions and just telling them all to fuck off... punk rock and attitude will always live under my skin and generations to come

Most new hardcore bands are nothing compared the the old '80s bands. A.N.S. and Pissed Jeans are both pretty good, though.

germs, the bags, black flag, di, bdr, government issue, rkl, agent orange, adolescents, weirdos, jerks, avengers, eyes, black randy, so many great bands from the late 70s - 80s

alot of the new punk bands that try to keep a old school punk sound make me feel as if they are just trying too hard to sound like a certain band, but the most annoying thing is that there are so many great bands that remain only in memories or if my generations lucky on video and vinyl or even cassette's :3
