Happo Giri - 8 directions cuts of Kenjutsu. front view by Cody Ray.
Although they are not executed in the same order, the 8 cuts of the Sword in the Kenjutsu Happo Giri exercise are similar to the 8 strokes of the Brush in traditional Japanese Calligraphy (Shodo).

yes it was very good. i liked how much control he had in his cuts as well as his timing for footwork. the only thing i can say about is was the pause with each cut. this is not good for everything must flow like water. but im sure it was done that way for this video so the cuts could be understood by the viewers. ill be happy when i have teh amount of control he has. each stop was like he was striking a solid object in his path....marvelous.
