@hoplite46 And before you go "herp derp doesn't help us" yes it does. Where did you think GPS, cell phones, live television, medical monitoring, high performance composites, laptops, internet, and most of our modern vaccines came from? Either directly from a space program, or from its research, and there are countless other advances you can look up yourself you useless bint.
@hoplite46 Additionally, weaponizing space? There is no program in the US to even do this, it would violate international treaties, how fucking stupid can you be? Not only that, this robot is for peaceful testing and exploration.
@hoplite46 It doesn't matter if you are a US citizen. You have the audacity to suggest that NASA's tiny budget has any impact on whether or not people will starve. NASA is less than 0.6% of the USA's annual budget, a paltry 6/10 of a penny out of a citizen's pocket. If you are not willing to simply pay a cent more for the sake of the dead and dying, you have too many problems of your own to be judging others.
@UndeadPizzaGuy 1st off I am not a US citizen.Secondly I am a humanitarian so yes I think the poor and homeless would be better served with the billions spent on weaponising space and building robots.
@hoplite46 Your point being? You wouldn't want to pay six tenths of a penny annually to support all of NASA and JPL? Do you think your six tenths of a penny will be better invested in Katrina refuges, or are you simply too greedy to just send an entire cent? I simply cannot comprehend your ignorance.
