Sacred in the country of India, tigers are becoming increasingly aggressive towards people. As the biggest of the big cats, a human has no chance against a tiger.
@LadyLillianContessa yes, the tiger census exposed that in the same time the tiger population has grown, its habitat has shrunk. india holds the best opportunities to save the tiger.
@LadyLillianContessa thats true too. however, indias forests have enough room and prey for 10,000 tigers, right now. but in a few years this will be 8,000, then 6,000 and so on... also tiger-human conflicts get more frequently.
@LadyLillianContessa i believe they will survive in captivity too, but thats not enough for me. i want them to live in their natural habitat. good news, a few days ago published they the tiger census for 2010. the tiger population grew by 20 %.
@LadyLillianContessa yes, india has together with bangladesh 1,3 billion people. too many humans on a too small area. india will surpass 2 billion in a few decades. will the tiger still be alive then?
