@sammyjtube3 It was one of the oldest rides in the park.  A big hit when it first opened in the 1980's, but over time it gradually fell apart and no longer the smooth ride it once was - getting a bit dangerous in fact. If you read the other comments on here you will see what I mean.

@BusterMissy1 It depends on what you like. Th13teen, in my eyes, is an amazing thrill on the first ride. After that it's a complete bore. Corky was like Nemesis, it never gets old because it scares the crap outta people, no matter how many times you go on it.

They shouldn't of shut this down to make thirteen! Thirteen is a complete waste of time!! Alls you do is go round a massive bend and into a dark room, the floor falls through and then you go backwards! This is an emence ride they defo shouldn't have removed it from the park!! :@

2 reasons why i didnt go on this ride back in 2006

1. i was petrified of rides

2. it looked to me ages 9 like it would collapse on me!

in 2011 i went back to same spot to see thirteen! and still didnt go on it as stupid school trip gave us 5 hours and i was in the oblivion cue for 2.5 hours. i managed 3 rides. thanks school!

Replaced with Thirteen? The Alton Towers I went to, part of the Corkscrew is still there. At the entrance

This was the that I loved, every time my family and I went to Alton Towers, I'd rush to Corkscrew first, it was an amazing ride.

Then one time when we went, it was gone - I was heartbroken.

They released Thirteen, I ride which I believe is only good the first time you go on it, unlike Corkscrew, were it was amazing every single time.

R.I.P Corkscrew.

This is actually the same as the 'SUperwirbe' in Germany's Holiday Park. But 'Superwirbel' is still standing :D
