Dj San - Threshold

Threshold-Freedom of Music is a collective effort by artists, musicians, djs and bands to celebrate music beyond genres and charts. The aim is to break all barriers between different forms and styles of music.
These performances will happen on quarterly basis which will feature national and international acts showcasing their own music. Also, Threshold will be organizing special events during the year. The upcoming venues for threshold shall be gardens, farm houses, and other venues close to nature.

HISTORY :
The LED's clipped hard on 29th October, 2006 when Threshold launched its first ground breaking concert. As the sun came down, a backyard garden in New Delhi's Jangpura area turned into a whirlwind of aural experiences.

The night featured five of India's finest acoustic & electronic bands performing across the spectrum of musical styles. The pace for the evening was set by Australian singer Penelope Spencer with her fusion of live vocals with electronica, followed by experimental new-age collective, The New Delhi Project generating sounds for the Indian underground.

When the intelligent and heartfelt songs of Radius hit the crowd, they began to sway and groove. Radius transfused rock, jazz, roots & funk. They were followed by Delhi's famous band of djs—Jalebee Cartel—who kept the audience moving.

People from all communities gathered—well-known musicians, artists, media personalities and music lovers—to celebrate "Freedom of Music". For the surprise act of the night, The Groove Merchants climaxed the crowd with a set of intelligent dance music full of electronic beats, live vocals and guitars.

The coming sunrise saw Threshold make headlines with a feature on NDTV India's Breaking News and articles in India Today and First City magazines. Gaining popularity and support in the music circuit for its edgy, addictive musical vibe which clicks and brings together music listeners from all walks of life, Threshold is here to stay.
