Area's of improvement:
+ I need to look up and through the turn more.
+ It looks like the bike is leaning over too much. This is evident with the peg-scrape on the last video. I need to lean my body off the bike more. I believe that hanging off the bike allows you to turn with the bike in a more upright position?? More upright for more traction for safer riding, right?

  • Top banking there mate, nothing to worry about at all infact I know guys who have been riding over ten years would shit themselves leaning that much, fuck the knee out what your doing is much better looking, top marks mate

  • Hey mate not bad

I also have a vtr250, was my first road bike

It looks like you have to lean off the bike a bit more, about half a bum cheek off the seat is ideal. Get yourself some leathers and knee sliders

I upgraded the suspension in mine and found it much more comfortable. I also run a 150 rear tyre and it feels at larger lean angles. The bike is a little unstable when I put my knee down but thats what a budget bike is all about.

    Keep up the good work

Also make sure the tyres are hot

  • nice cornering. Looks like greenway if im correct

  • great pictures -___-

1: Slow and complete braking before you enter the turn

2: Look through the turn at your path (not the other lane and not the edge of the road)

3: Press the handlebar slightly in the direction you are turning to initiate the lean

4: Roll on the throttle (maintain or slightly increase speed) at the beginning of the turn

    Reference: MSF Course

  • did you bike ever slipped? i slipped but i think i wasn't accelerating on the turn rather i pulled the clutch and engine was free? should i accelerate on turns?

  • head up, look through the turn. Your eyes go where you're looking at.

  • That's OK if you're racing on a track, not on public streets. SLOW DOWN, you'll live longer!

  • nice mate, I've got a 2010 vtr and take it just about as low, great fun in them twisties!

  • @opmike343 thank you for your reply. yes just like the Kawak's Er6 n and f version, right? i just figure it out when comparing bikes on cycle-ergo d-o-t com.

  • hold on to your penis while your doing that, and pull in the clutch, hit the front brake, and hit the throttle to max

Assuming the bikes are EXACTLY the same otherwise, the one without fairing will simply have you being buffeted with more turbulent air. However, there are often other design differences between naked bikes and ones with fairing. Many naked bikes have a slightly more upright riding position, while faired bikes often have a more aggressive riding position. The Suzuki SV650 and the SV650S are a prime example of this. These are generalizations, but you get the idea...
