Dead Body on South Col, Everest. This is known as the Death zone. Oxygen cylinders lie strewn nearby.

South Col is an almost flat field very close to the summit of Everest, with rocks and ice covering it...

The body has turned to leather under the harsh sun and dry dessicated conditions. This clip is shown with due respects to the mountaineer, out of a personal desire to see something done about this terrible personal and ongoing human tragedy where dead mountaineers are not able to be brought down from the peak, due to the many limitations. A body is so heavy that a single porter cannot possibly lift and bring it down, so most dead bodies are consigned to a deep crevasse and given what is called a 'glacial burial'.

Since a human body is too heavy to carry back to Base Camp, bodies are either abandoned in the open or given a glacial burial by being released into a crevasse, in a sleeping bag or sack.

Located in the Himalayas Mount Everest is the world's highest mountain above sea level at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft). At the higher regions of Mount Everest, climbers seeking the summit typically spend substantial time within the "death zone" (altitudes higher than 8,000 m/26,246 ft), and face significant challenges to survival. Temperatures can dip to very low levels, resulting in frostbite of any body part exposed to the air. Since temperatures are so low, snow is well-frozen in certain areas and death or injury by slipping and falling can occur.

  • @newyork68100 It says on wiki, that yasoku's body was recovered and brought down off the mountain in 97, so it's likely it's someone else.

Put the link back together as YT doesn't accept complete links

  • @mateobryson A true champion? He spent a bunch of money to do something incredibly dangerous that lots of people have done before him. He lost a hand while doing it? Sucks for him, but I have little sympathy given that he lost it doing something so unbelievably needless and stupid. Putting yourself into danger for no good reason and then surviving doesn't make one a champion or a hero. It makes one an utter ass.

  • @cmchfx i saw what you did there....

  • @ffairlane57 I assume you have no clue where south col is. It is at the altitude of approx 8000m also known as death zone. Climbers take one step in 3-5 minutes after breathing 10 times. It takes all the will power to take one step. Every climber knows if you cannot walk you are dead. Alive people are left to die and you are thinking of dead people.

  • @mateobryson By the way, the true champions are the Sherpa that literally spoon feed every thing to people like your boss. And I am not being negative, it is the fact.

  • nope not "chillin" hes dead.

  • @ThatSwedeGuy97 Harry isnt a dick, he was correcting a dumbshit.

    Learn to read, bro.

  • FUCKING CUNTS STOLE HIS SHOES

  • WAKE HIM UP
