Marie and Leo Dodge of Howard County, Maryland, get a free rain garden installed after being picked for the "Win a Rain Garden" program. It took four workers less than three hours to install the 12-by-8-foot garden, from digging to installing native plants. The garden will not only be beautiful, it will absorb rainwater and decrease the amount of phosphorus and nitrogen flowing into nearby Red Hill Branch, and eventually into the Chesapeake Bay and beyond.
