Kitty is somewhat unfairly known as a one-hit wonder in the UK, her song "Little Things Mean a Lot", went to number 1 in the UK Singles Chart, but she failed to follow it up. She nevertheless made many fine recordings

I'd love to know if this was truly the original before Lee Andrews and the Hearts covered it, and also what year this was. I also believe that Kitty was originally from South Philly- is this true?

Kitty Kallen was a band singer in the 1940s but didn't get much recognition as

a singer until the 1950s when she had some hit records in the U.S.A. the main

one being "Little Things Mean Alot." This is a nice recording.
