Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark is mentioned in FAO report on food waste

Stop Wasting Food movement is a non-profit consumer movement which fights food waste in Denmark. Danish people's yearly food waste is equivalent to 2,93 billion US Dollars (2,15 billion Euro) - and our aim is to fight food waste. See more at:

Stop Wasting Food movement is one of the developers of Joint Declaration Against Food Waste - an international document which is disclosed to the European Parliament and the United Nations. Stop Wasting Food movement was also one of the guest speakers at SAVE FOOD congress on food waste at Interpack 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany, arranged by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Our Danish consumer movement Stop Wasting Food is mentioned in the new FAO international report on food waste 'Global Food Losses and Food Waste' and is now - along with leading decision makers and food experts - a signatory to the FAO international declaration on food waste.

Among SAVE FOOD congressional speakers and signatures of the FAO's international declaration on food waste was Modibo Tiémoko Traoré (Assistant Director-General Agriculture, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)), Ilse Aigner (German Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection), Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer (former German Federal Minister, former Executive Director UNEP, Executive Director IASS Potsdam), Shraddha Jadhav (Mayor, Mumbai, India), Johannes Remmel (Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) and others.
