doG (written and performed by Bill Pere)

doG is a story-song inspired by Bill's work with kids with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. It tries to create aurally what a dyslexic child might experience visually. There are 29 pairs of palindromic and anagram words/phrases in the lyrics. This is an example of yclept songwriting, a very difficult technique because it imposes many constraints. The song was originally released in 1993, and re-released in a spiritual/inspirational compilation in 2007. The song has been performed at many events events related to special education. All instrumental parts are performed by Bill via acoustic,electric and Midi guitar.
